East v West: The NBA Finals

The battle continues tonight in game five between the Western Conference winners the LA Lakers and the Eastern Conference winners the Boston Celtics. Out of four games played so far in the NBA finals, the Celtics have won three. Pressure begins to mount on the Lakers who must scrounge a win tonight if they are to stay on in the finals. On the other hand, a win tonight means glory for the men in green. In order for the Lakers to pull off a win they must win at least four of the seven potential playoffs; this necessitates victory in games five, six and seven for them. The Celtics are just biding their time as no team in finals history has recovered from a 3-1 deficit. The Lakers are still hopeful and as the NBA MVP and Lakers player, Kobe Bryant, claimed “The series ain’t over.”
