Wimbledon Day Six
Veteran player Nicolas Kiefer pushed Rafael Nadal into an intense tiebreaker within the first set but Nadal gained the psychological advantage after that point, winning the match in three straight sets. The only Brit left in the championship, Andy Murray won in four sets against the German, Tommy Haas. Jelena Jankovic can now set her sights on the top seed spot after her win against Caroline Wozniacki; with Ana Ivanovic out of the way, the only thing that seems to stand in her way is a leg injury that may hinder her further performance at Wimbledon. Dinara Safina, the French Open finalist has ended her Wimbledon dream at the hands of the Israeli, Shahar Peer; her brother, Marat Safin, has endured week one, facing powerful opponents like Novak Djokovic.
